The
rural part of Kilmurry Parish is very evenly populated. There
are no significant areas without inhabited farmsteads and scattered
private homes.
All
our villages are small by most standards. City and towns are
too close and too easily reached to make it possible for any
settlement to develop. Most of these villages are becoming increasingly
attractive as places to commute to work from, and as such one
could envisage a substantial growth in size and population here
